Wetpaint’s Kevin Flaherty Conquers the NYC Marathon!

nyc-marathon.pngOur very own Kevin Flaherty, VP Marketing, here at Wetpaint logged in a personal best 4:17:26 this past weekend for the NYC Marathon.  (Under 10 minutes a mile for 26.2 miles) Over the course of the day about 40,000 people took the challenge with Kevin, though he was the only representative from Wetpaint, which started in Staten Island, moved through Brooklyn and Queens, turning back south in the Bronx and finally finishing in Manhattan. (See map)  Not to brag, ok well maybe a little, but, Kevin finshed better than more than half of the runners!

Kevin had been training for quite some leading up to the event, often waking up, getting his morning run in, and being back home before many of us had even hit the snooze for the first time.  The dedication he gave to the race is nothing short of enviable and I think I’ll try waking up a little earlier tomorrow morning to take a crack at it.  Maybe.

Thanks, Kevin, for the motivation, but most of all, CONGRATULATIONS and great job!
